Early Years Foundation Stages

We primarily focus on developing children's learning in the key areas of physical development, language and communication, and personal, emotional, and social development. We then encourage children to apply their learning through a variety of experiences that will enhance their literacy and mathematics skills, as well as their understanding of the world, all while engaging in expressive arts and design.

Our Preschool reflects the four overarching principles of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS):

A Unique Child
Every child is unique and continuously learning. They are resilient, capable, confident, and self-assured.

Positive Relationship
Children become strong and independent through positive relationships.

Enabling Environments
Children thrive in environments that cater to their individual needs and foster strong partnerships among practitioners, parents, and carers.

Leadership & Management
Children learn and develop in various ways and at different rates. The framework encompasses the education and care of all children in early years provision, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Early Learning Goals outline the level of progress expected for children by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage, stating what children should know and be able to do by the end of their reception year.
